    CM seeks LIC aid for infra works

    Mumbai: Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis has urged Life Insurance Corporation of India to provide financial assistance to the various metro, flyover and other public transport projects being taken up in Mumbai and the metropolitan region. VK Sharma, chairman of LIC, on Wednesday met Fadnavis at Varsha. The state government has announced infrastructure projects estimated at Rs 1 lakh crore for Mumbai and the MMR region. Sharma assured the chief minister that LIC would provide financial assistance. Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development commissioner UPS Madan was present at the meeting.
